You Know, I Was Just Thinking …

If Amon came up to me, and said, “When I was a boy, Firebenders killed my parents and burnt my face. Benders are oppressing us. Let’s rid of them.”

I’d still side with Korra. I wouldn’t even think about being an Equalist.

BUT

If Noatak came up to me, and said, “When I was a boy, my father was Yakone, an infamous mob leader. He had had plastic surgery, and married my mother, without revealing his identity. He then took me and my brother out, and forced us to practice the horrid art, known as Bloodbending. He made me Bloodbend animals, and finally my own brother. We were his tools for war. Benders are oppressing us. Let’s rid of them.”

I’d actually hesitate.

I’m just saying:

Noatak’s real story is worse than Amon’s made-up one.

Yes, I know that he couldn’t reveal who he was.

But, I think that he would earn a lot more sympathy, if he were to tell everyone the truth.

Does anyone else agree?
