This was right when Valjean denies knowing him, causing him to become confused. And that confused expression basically stays with him for the rest of the movie, mixed with anger, brokenness, denial, a small amount of pity, hurt, envy, cynicism, and pain.

I really love how Nani is the most realistic looking animated human. Her arms are proportionally drawn. the same with her legs. She has a stomach. An actual stomach. Her breasts aren’t outrageously exaggerated. Her lips are realistic. Her nose isn’t perfect. Her eyes aren’t exaggerated to show a stereotype of Hawaii. Her face isn’t too thin. She is perfect.
