I mean, it’s a great episode.
And you’ve got to love the tribute to Sifu Kisu.
But, in the episode, Sokka’s depressed because he doesn’t feel as valuable as the other members of the GAang
Basically, he feels like the comic relief.
And at first, Aang, Katara, and Toph were very supportive and tried to list the positive things that Sokka does for the group.
And there was a point when he was gone, where they were reading the map and they realized that they had no idea what they were doing.
So they realized: Wow, Sokka is amazing at choreographing our schedule and figuring out where we are.
And then as the episode went on
They began to make horrible jokes
To the point where, when Sokka came back, they all hugged him
And the first thing they said was, “Say something funny!”
So, it pretty much just reinforced the fact that they missed the ‘funny’ guy.
They missed the comic relief.
That just doesn’t sit right with me.
