You know, I’ve been thinking about something for a while:
Who says that the Avatar has to be good?
I mean it’s pretty universally accepted. The Avatar has to save the world and protect the world and keep the peace, right?
But above everything else, it’s been stressed that the Avatar is human.
That the Avatar experiences humanized emotions and weaknesses. What if one of those weaknesses just happens to be lust and power? What if the Avatar uses his/her power to purposely take over the nations.
What if the Avatar becomes the enemy?

This is literally one of my favorite Lin moments. Because … I mean just look at her! She is literally stabbing the suit to try and get to the man inside (I can’t remember if it’s Hiroshi or not but regardless).
I mean Tenzin is fighting to protect Korra as well but Lin is taking it to a new level. Because Tenzin is following the traditional airbending philosophy of ‘fight-only-when-necessary’ and Lin is furiously tearing this suit apart and showing absolutely no mercy. And if she can do this to a suit, imagine what she was planning on doing to the person inside the suit. Not to mention the fact that this is a 50 year old woman doing this! And then we have to admire the rage. Because it initially showed that she had tension with both Korra and Tenzin. But when it came time to protect the two of them, she didn’t hesitate and she didn’t hold back. She faced the machine head-on. Her mother would be proud.
I actually think that Asami Sato and River Song would get along famously.

I’m sorry, you must not know who we are.
We are the cosplayers from the world of Avatar: the cosplay elitests. and we don’t have time for talk of cosplay that isnt canon.
We cosplay hard. We cosplay with passion. We cosplay correctly.
This is a passion. this is a talent. and this is something we do not have shit-heads suggest for us to “hey dude do this” casually with no reasoning behind it.
A hero can be anyone. Even a woman doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a scarf around a young boy’s shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended.
-
Lin: Your brother’s asleep.
Mako: - Wipes away several tears -
Lin: It’s okay. Don’t be afraid.
Mako - Doesn’t answer. Begins to shiver -
Lin: - Sees the scarf - Is this your father’s?
Mako: - Instinctively Grabs It -
Lin: It’s okay. Come here.
Lin: - Puts scarf around Mako -
Lin: There you go. It’s okay.
-
I guess this sort of goes along with the Batmako thing. Hey who better to be Commissioner Gordon than Lin?

I’m surprised we haven’t talked about this yet. The clock in Legend of Korra. I mean it’s a big deal! They know how to tell time! If you remember back to Avatar, the Mechanist first started to use the sparking candles and the timing device for the eclipse. But this is big! It might even be bigger than the Satomobiles or the phones or the radios. Because its time! They have time now! Time!
